Dear Friends, It is with the deepest of sorrows that I write this entry to tell you that my beloved son passed away this past Wednesday October 6th, 2010 peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends after a long and hard fought battle against cancer. Funeral arrangements have not yet been determined but I will post another entry once the arrangements have been made.

Hey Mat, Stéphane & Josée have decided to donate all of their savings for your medication. And, since the kids are willing to give up all of that for you, Mononcle Guy and I will double the amount. The kids are also planning a fundraiser of some kind. We`ll keep you posted with the updates. We love you Mat...we know you`ll beat this!

I commend you for fighting as hard as you are and when I read your blog about your Lazy Boy chair it made me smile. My dad passed away from Pancreatic Cancer (a very rare Islet cell tumor) on Wednesday, August 30th, 2006 and this was his favorite gift from us. He called it his Chemo chair as they had the exact ones at the hospital. He slept in it as he could not lay down as well. With myself living here in the US, it gave me some peace of mind that he could rest easier because of the chair.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless you and your family for having to deal with this....I know it's not easy. I will pray for you all.
